Planning Your Own Celebration of Life Ceremony

There is no right or wrong time to start planning your own celebration of life or funeral ceremony, but some people will start the process when they discover that they have a terminal illness, or after a loved one has passed away.

If you have specific ideas that you would like to be included in your funeral, planning your own is a good idea but no one can guarantee that it will be carried out exactly as you have requested.

Everyone has their own reason for pre-planning their ceremony.

Perhaps you have had a full and varied life and wish to ensure that it is all celebrated.  Perhaps you don't want to add to the upset and pressure that your family or friends may be feeling when the time comes to say 'goodbye' to you.  Or maybe, the process of writing everything down and creating a ceremony that reflects you, helps you come to terms with death and dying.

To create the ceremony that will truly reflect you, I find that spending time together in a comfortable environment is the most effective.  I want to know all about you, your life, your loves, your funny moments!   Together we will select the content that you are passionate about - music, poems, readings, and perhaps prayers and hymns.

Your ceremony will be written in cooperation with you, and you will be given a soft and hard copy of the complete script to keep in a safe place, I will also keep a copy.
