So that's me in a nutshell but, if you'd like to know more, please read on.....................

I am frequently get asked why I chose to become a Celebrant. The inspiration came to me at a wedding, where I felt a strong desire to share that love, joy, and laughter with others. It also became clear to me that I wanted to extend my empathetic nature to support bereaved families during their difficult times.

I’m very much a people-person. I’ve been running my own holistic therapy business for over a decade which, I’m pretty sure, has made me quite laid back (something my two grown-up kids may sometimes disagree with) and I'm very good at taking things in my stride!

I've already mentioned my children, of whom I'm very proud, and as a family we've lived in Athens and Qatar, as well as Yorkshire, Hertfordshire, and Northamptonshire.
We lived in the suburbs of Athens and spent a lot of time exploring and driving to the beach and back (it was a hard life, but someone had to do it!). The drives gave us time to chat and we would make up stories to entertain each other!

Being a celebrant has brought back those very happy memories, only now I get to explore ideas with strangers, who become friends, and create stories based on their lives.

I enjoy a good chat and I love hearing people's stories—stories of love and romance, stories of triumph over adversity, and stories of your everyday life and hobbies.

You’ll notice, when we chat about your ceremony, that I’m writing notes. They’re definitely not sequential and they certainly won’t be neat and tidy, but they really do help bring your ceremony and your story alive.

In my spare time, I go to yoga and absolutely love to be out and about in the fresh air - so a big thumbs up for an outdoor ceremony.
I really enjoy hiking with friends and I've walked ‘The Dales Way’ a couple of times now. Walking through Yorkshire up to the Lake District is amazing. If you haven't explored that area, all I can say is, “Go and do it!”.
You won’t regret it and I'm pretty sure you won't regret hiring me to be your celebrant.

I believe in quality and have trained with some of the best in the therapy world, so it seemed only logical to train with one of the best in the Celebrant world.
Thanks to the very comprehensive training with Civil Ceremonies Ltd and the continuing professional development and support from the Association of Independent Celebrants, you can be assured that you will be hiring a highly trained professional with a joy of life and passion to celebrate your ceremony your way.
